YEAR 6 INTO YEAR 7 TRANSITION PROGRAM

Interested students are invited to participate in:

·       Liaison Days 24, 25, & 26 February 2025 – an excursion to Cronulla High School for Year 6 students.

Students from our feeder schools will attend with their Primary School. Students attending other primary schools should complete this Permission Note

·       Open Night Tuesday, 18 March, 2025 – 6.30pm to 8.30pm, for all students and parents. P & C sausage sizzle and drinks from 6.00pm.

·       Extension Class (Gifted and Talented Program). Applications close on Thursday 20 March 2025.

·       Extension Class Test – Monday 31 March 2025.

Information and Application packages are available on the Cronulla High School website and will be accepted from Term 1 2025.

Interviews will be available during Term 1 2025 to non-local & non government Year 6 – 7 applicants for Year 7 2026. Waiting lists apply.

How to Enrol – Year 6 into Year 7

In NSW government schools, transitioning from primary school to high school is a two-step process that begins with an Expression of Interest. Visit the Moving to High School page for more details.

 

For Students Attending a NSW Government Primary School

If your Year 6 student currently attends a New South Wales government primary school, please complete the online Expression of Interest (EOI) form. The link to access this form will be provided by your primary school on Monday, 3 March 2025.

The deadline for completing the online EOI form is Friday, 28 March 2025.

🔹 Important: Students attending a government school who live outside the Cronulla High School catchment must also complete the application form via this link Application for students attending a government school who live outside the Cronulla High School catchment and attend an interview with the Principal (please contact the school to schedule an appointment).

 

 

For Students Attending a Non-Government Primary School (In-Area and Out-of-Area)

Students from non-government primary schools, whether they live inside or outside the Cronulla High School catchment, must:

  2. Complete the online enrolment via this link.
  3. Attend an interview with the Principal (please contact the school to schedule an appointment).
