Dance Ensembles
At Cronulla High School, we offer a range of Dance ensembles to cater for varying age, style and ability. All ensembles are provided with performance opportunities throughout the year, such as Arts in the Dark, the biennual musical, local and regional festivals, Schools Spectacular, and interstate and overseas tours.
Senior and Junior Dance Companies
These groups involve a small group of selected students with a talent and interest in Dance. These classes focus on modern dance technique and aim to improve skills as well as working towards performance pieces for various events throughout the year. These include dance festivals, Schools Spectacular, overseas Performing Arts Tours, Arts in the Dark, and the biennial musical. These students are encouraged to improve skills in a challenging, supportive and fun environment.
The Senior and Junior Dance Companies rehearse before school on a weekly basis. The students in these companies have been selected during an audition process and have demonstrated a high level of skill and technique required for these groups. Dance Senior Company comprises Year 9-12 students, and Dance Junior Company comprises our talented Year 7-8 students.
